Kate left the Gold Coast for a year to enjoy the beach life she had missed, and then she came back to sell Madisons and 3 Beans. She achieved another big success, swiftly taking over the Bumbles Café website. Kate opened Marmalade at Chevron Renaissance in addition to managing Bumbles. She sold Marmalade, had a son, and concentrated only on Bumbles after a few years of juggling the two cafés.
